Every Moment

A couple of years ago, i wrote a post about my beloved Jodeci. Specifically what role Dalvin and DeVante Swing played in the group.

After watching the video for Every Moment, i can say once again that they indeed are the eye candy. At least DeVante is (still). Even with that awful face tattoo, he was fine as shit in this vid (pardon my french).

Can you imagine, until i actually saw this video (which was only a couple of weeks ago), i just assumed the song was one of their oldies that i just never heard before. This song is truly everything. I can't even count how many choruses of yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssss! escaped my lips as i listened/watched.

And the countdown begins...

No, not the countdown to 2016. I'm talking about the countdown to the big 3-0.

Yesterday was my 29th birthday. And today officially begins the countdown to the dirty 30. I was somewhat freaked out about turning 30 before, but now...i don't know. I'm somewhere between being ambivalent and genuinely looking forward to it.

But, lets get back to this birthday. It was lovely. Surprise gifts. Kinds words. And multiple outings. It was a good birthday. I found myself in a very different place than I was last year and although slightly saddened by it, i've accepted it.

Oh and did i mention that i've been off from work since Thursday afternoon?!? If that wasn't the best part of my bday, it was certainly in the top 5 things lol.

Though i've not been to work in 5 days, I am still in the loop (because i just can't stay away from work) and things are good on that front as well. One of the properties i've been scouting for the past like 6 months finally put pen to paper and is now added to my market's portfolio.

All in all, its been a pretty darn good birthday :)

This crazy brownie recipe for HoneyDame

Or at least i think HoneyDame was the one that asked for it. Here goes. I'm not a chef oh, so i hope you can follow

What you'll need:
an oven (duh lol)
brownie mix (i suggest using a fudge brownie mix)
mini oreos
creamy peanut butter
mini muffin cups
mini muffin tin

  • Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees (F)
  • prepare your brownie nix as directed
  • line the mini muffin pan with the parchment/foil muffin cups
  • top each mini oreo with peanut butter
    • If you like, you can stack another mini oreo on top and add another layer of peanut butter. They won't look as pretty but they'll be twice as yummy
  • place oreo in the muffin cup and cover with a spoonful of brownie batter
  • bake for 8-10 minutes, until brownies are done.
  • Remove from oven and let cool
  • Enjoy!
Very simple, I promise.
